Inspired by the ornamental richness and golden luminosity of Gustav Klimt, reimagined through the distinctive beauty of Australian native flora. This Australian interpretation replaces European blooms with the sculptural forms of gum leaves, wattles, and other native botanicals, celebrating the textures and tones of the local landscape.

​Katies Studio is committed to working consciously and responsibly, with care given to the environmental impact of my art practice. Wherever possible, I source materials and services from local and small businesses, supporting community-based production and reducing transport footprint. I reuse and repurpose packaging for storing and posting artworks, and upcycle vessels within the studio to give materials another life. I also prioritise Australian-made paints and products, making considered choices that align with a more sustainable and intentional way of working.
