Boulders Beach
Currently exhibiting at Black Fig Gallery, Alstonville NSW
 
Boulders Beach is an interesting cove in the Northern Rivers, scattered with rocks and pebbles (hence the name, Boulders Beach). This painting began while sitting in my camp chair noticing the light and shadows cast by the rocky headland and banksia tree.

​Katies Studio is committed to working consciously and responsibly, with care given to the environmental impact of my art practice. Wherever possible, I source materials and services from local and small businesses, supporting community-based production and reducing transport footprint. I reuse and repurpose packaging for storing and posting artworks, and upcycle vessels within the studio to give materials another life. I also prioritise Australian-made paints and products, making considered choices that align with a more sustainable and intentional way of working.
